Notes. – Asingle specimen of original material probably collected in the West Indies is extant in G-PREL [G00818252]. This specimen has been cited by TRYON & WEATHERBY (1956: 51) in their revision of the American species of Notholaena R. Br. as: “ Type: in Hb. Delessert, G!”. This implicit lectotypification is accepted here as a single element of original material is present in G-PREL.
