Discussion: Included in Sminthopsis by Archer (1979:329, 1981:187) and by McKenna and Bell (1997); but Lidicker (1983:1317) considered Antechinomys a distinct genus, and Krajewski et al. (1997 b) and Blacket et al. (1999) separated it from Sminthopsis on the basis of their molecular findings.
