Material examined. Holotype ♀: COLOMBIA, Finca los Guaduales, n[ea]r San Jose del Palmar, 730–800 m, 1.VI.1978, C. Kugler col. (MCZH, 32748).

Diagnosis. FEMALE (Fig. 121). Black. Mandible wide apically, with five apical teeth (Fig. 122). Clypeus with short, rounded median lobe. Antennal scrobe with vertical carinate over torulus. Frons coriaceous. Vertex slightly convex, corner bulging. Pronotal disc not carinate; anterior corner rounded; posterior margin paralleled by series of punctures. Scutellar pit transverse. Mesopleuron with subtegular groove wide; anterior fovea subtriangular; upper fovea subrounded, only upper margin defined; lower fovea with upper margin little defined, lower margin irregular and toothed (Fig. 123). MALE unknown.
