Distribution in Iran. Kermanshah (Sakenin et al. 2010; Samin et al. 2011a), Khorasan, Tehran (Linnavuori 2008), Iran (no locality cited) (Aukema et al. 2013).

General distribution. Russia (southern teritories), Caucasus and Central Asia, Near East.

Host plant. On Artemisia sp. ( Asteraceae) (Linnavuori 2008).

Comments. Péricart (2010) considered T. osmanica Hoberlandt (1956) as a synonym of this species (but not Rider 2006); we do not know osmanica so we conserve Rider’s (2006) statement.
