General distribution. Balkan region, Turkey (both European and Asian parts), Iran.

Comments. Like A. custos, A. insperata principally lives on Fagaceae where it hunts caterpillars of several species (e.g. Phalera, Euproctis, Lymantria, Thaumetopoea) (Péricart 2010).
