Pseudomantis albofimbriata (Stål, 1860)
= Hierodula dimorpha Werner, 1911 syn. nov.
Werner was apparently unaware of Stål’s P. albofimbriata when describing H. dimorpha, as the two were collected from nearby localities and are clearly conspecific (Stål 1860; Werner 1911).
Also of note is that a translocated population of P. albofimbriata has been recently detected in Launceston, Tasmania (Fearn 2018). Further small adventive populations are also present in Albany, Western Australia (Kurniawan 2021) and near Adelaide, South Australia (O’Neill 2021), and a single individual has been reported from near Hobert, Tasmania (Baird 2022).
