Paraoxypilus Saussure, 1870

= Exparoxypilus Beier, 1929 syn. nov.

The features used by Beier to distinguish Exparoxypilus from Paraoxypilus are rather minor and are variable within Paraoxypilus; see P. verreauxii for more details.

Additionally, Paroxypilus Werner, 1933 (misspelling) is a nomen nudum, as the sole species is now the type of Nesoxypilus Beier, 1965 ( N. albomaculatus (Werner, 1933)) .
