Comments. ACHARD (1921) recorded the species from Pengalengon, Preanger and Goenoeng Oengaran [=Gunung Ungaran]. Pic (1920) described a new variety of S. testaceomaculatum, conjunctum, from Sumatra: Si RambØ, distinguished by the joining elytral spots. According to the ICZN, Art. 45.6.4 (1999) the latter nomen is deemed to be subspecific.
