Comments. This is a new addition to the large branchiopods checklist of Algeria. Previously, this species has been reported from Mauritania, Chad, and Morocco (Gauthier 1937, 1939; Thiéry 1986). In Figure 4, some of its specific morphological characteristics can be seen.
