Sternacutus doctus (Bates, 1863), comb. nov.

Ozineus doctus Bates, 1863b: 280 .

Type localities — Syntypes: Brazil, Pará (Óbidos) (MNHN) .

Distribution — Brazil (Amazonas, Pará), Bolivia (Santa Cruz).

Remarks. This species has been reported as originally described from Brazil (Pará) and French Guiana. However, this is a mistake. The species was described from two places in the Brazilian state of Pará: Óbidos (“on the Guiana side of the Lower Amazons”, which means a city on left bank of the lower Amazonas river (the bank at the same side of the Guiana), and Pará (currently, Belém).
