DISTRIBUTION: Brazilian coast: Bahia to Sâo Paulo, inland to Goiâs.

STATUS: CITES - Appendix II.

SYNONYMS: jordani, melanotis, trigonifer .

COMMENTS: Accepted as a species by Mittermeier et al. (1988) and Groves (1989).
