HOLOTYPE. — Sample: LRK2, 2.20 m (MNHN.F.F67680).
PARATYPE. — Sample: LRK2, 2.20 m (MNHN.F.F67681).
DIAGNOSIS. — Test ovoid ornamented with longitudinal costae, distinct neck ornamented with ridges connecting the costae, aperture rounded, aboral opening.
TYPE AGE. — Late Pliocene.
TYPE LOCALITY. — Brest-LRK2 (Finistère).
ETYMOLOGY. — From Latin vˇarĭē (variety) and koreana ( Lagena cf. koreana McCulloch, 1977).
OTHER MATERIAL EXAMINED. — Sample: LRK2, 2.20 m (MNHN.F.F67682, F67683); sample: LRK2, 2.20 m (MNHN.F.F67757), 27 specimens.
SIZE. — Length = 0.260 mm; diameter = 0.160 mm.
DESCRIPTION
Test ovoid ornamented with longitudinal costae alternating with shorter (30) extend onto the neck; distinct neck surrounding by plates delimiting chamberlets externally closed with trapezoidal walls; wall punctate; aperture rounded; aboral end structure.
REMARK
This species is near of Lagena cf. koreana (McCulloch, 1977: 92, pl. 35, fig. 1). It is differing by a number most large of costae.
