Centris dorsata maculosa Friese, 1924

Centris dorsata var. maculosa Friese, 1924: 20, 21. Junior synonym of C. dorsata Lepeletier, 1841 (Moure et al. 2007).

Type data: According to the original description, Friese (1924) described this variety using a single male collected by the German missionary Wolfgang Priewasser (1861‒1954) in Tarata, central Bolivia. Moure et al. (2007) mentioned that the holotype was housed at ZMB but it was not found in that collection. The current condition and depository are currently unknown.
