Euponera (Trachymesopus) darwini (Forel) variety africana Forel ^HNS

A single dealated female from Stanleyville (Lang and Chapin). This species has an extraordinary range, from Northern Australia and the Philippines through India to Nigeria. It is very probably hypogaeic in habit as the worker of most of the varieties, including the African, is still unknown.
