Description of Female. Fully winged; length 3.2–5.0 mm. Head and antenna totally testaceous; mesosoma black, except prothorax testaceous; metasoma brown-testaceous; legs testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennal segments of holotype partly broken, with first six segments in following proportions: 13:11:39:16:18:18. Head shiny, weakly granulated; occipital carina complete; posterior ocelli almost touching occipital carina; OL slightly longer than POL; frontal line complete; temple prominent; POL = 3; OL = 3; OOL = 16; OPL = 1; TL = 5. Pronotum shiny, granulated, crossed by two transverse impressions, anterior impression slight and posterior one strong; posterior collar short, but distinct; pronotal tubercle not reaching tegula. Scutum, scutellum and metanotum dull, hairy, granulated and with some irregular keels. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.5 length of scutum. Propodeum reticulate–rugose, with two short longitudinal keels on posterior surface. Fore wing with two dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein much longer than proximal part. Protarsal segment 1 about as long as segment 4. Enlarged claw not spatulate (Plate 82B), with one subapical tooth and one row of nine lamellae. Segment 5 of protarsus (Plate 82B) with two rows of 18 lamellae; distal apex with about six lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Material examined. Types: holotype ♀: SRI LANKA: Colombo District, Labugama, 18.II.1974, A.E. Stubbs & P.J. Chandler leg. (BMNH). Paratypes: SRI LANKA: Ratnapura District, Gilimale, 19–22.VI.1976, K. Krombein leg., 1♀ (USNM) ( Ponomarenko, 1981b : misidentified Dryinus formicarius Latreille); Kandy Distric, Kandy, Udawattakele Sanctuary, 1♀ (USNM).
