Aphelopus thai Olmi 2008c: 227 .
Description of Male. Fully winged; length 1.7–2.0 mm. Head black, except mandible, clypeus and gena testaceous (in specimen from China, Fengtai Forest Farm, head black, except mandible, clypeus and few spots between and on sides of antennal toruli testaceous); antenna brown, except segments 1–2 testaceous; mesosoma black; metsoma brown; legs testaceous. Antenna filiform; antennal segments in following proportions: 3:3.5:4.5:4.5:5.5:6:6.5:6.5:6.5:9. Head dull, granulated; frontal line complete (in specimen from China, Fengtai Forest Farm, frontal line incomplete, not present in front of anterior ocellus); POL = 4; OL = 2.5; OOL = 3; OPL = 1.5; TL = 3; greatest breadth of posterior ocelli shorter than OOL (2:3); occipital carina complete. Scutum dull, granulated. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.6 length of scutum. Scutellum slightly granulated. Metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Propodeum reticulate rugose; posterior surface with two complete longitudinal keels and median area shiny and partly unsculptured. Fore wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands. Basivolsella (Plate 9D) with outer process and one subdistal bristle. In specimen from China, Daheba, left basivolsella with one subdistal bristle + one sensorial pore. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
