Distr.: Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama and Brazil. Refs.: Aldrich, 1928: 22 (desc., key to species); Guimarães, 1971a: 182 (cat.). Comm.: This species is not recorded to Colombia, but is likely to occur in the country as it occurs on several adjacent countries (Panama, British Guyana, Trinidad, Venezuela, Brazilian Amazon, etc.) (Aldrich 1928: 35; Curran 1934: 519; Thompson 1963c: 302).
