Genus Helioprosopa Townsend

Helioprosopa Townsend, 1927: 239 . Type species, facialis Townsend (orig. des.). Refs.: Townsend, 1936a: 196 (in key to Cuphoceratini); Townsend, 1939a: 195 (generic diagnosis); Reinhard, 1964: 119 (key to species); Guimarães, 1971a: 78 (cat.). Comm.: Guimarães (1971a: 78) equivocally listed the Chilean species H. finita Reinhard, 1964 as occurring in Mexico and Colombia. To date, this species is known only from Chile.
