Comm.: The name hystrix Rondani, 1865 appears twice in the Neotropical Catalogue by Guimarães (1971a): first at page 61, correctly listed as junior synonym of nigriventris Macquart, and then at page 216, mispelled as “ histrix Rondani ” in the list of “Unplaced species of Tachinidae ” and treated as “unrecognized”.
