Type material. Holotype ♂, SOUTH AFRICA: KwaZulu-Natal, Ingwavuma, Ndumo Game Reserve, Crocodile farm, 26º54’S, 32º19’E, 12.I.2007, C. Haddad leg. (NMBA 10468).
Etymology. The species name is a patronym for Charles Haddad, collector of the type specimen.
Diagnosis. Cheiramiona haddadi sp. nov. is differentiated by the unique shape of the EM apex (Figs 11–12), which is bifid, with the retrolateral prong closely associated with a narrow finger-like CON.
Description. Male (n = 1): TL = 4.1; CL = 2.0; CW = 1.4; OAL = 0.3; OAW = 0.85; CLL = 0.05. Chelicerae: robust with long fangs; PMT:RMT = 3:4 (Fig. 10). Measurements: AME–AME 0.10; AME–ALE 0.10; AME diameter 0.10; PME–PME 0.15; PME–PLE 0.15; PME diameter 0.10; MOQAW 0.30; MOQPW 0.35; CI (CL/ CW) 1.43; LL:CL 4.65; STL 0.90; STW 0.85. Leg measurements: I—2.4+0.8+2.5+2.5+1.1 = 9.3; II—1.5+ 0.7+1.3+1.4+0.5 = 5.4; III—1.1+0.5+0.8+1.0+0.4 = 3.8; IV—1.6+0.7+1.4+1.6+0.5 = 5.8; Palp—0.8+0.3+0.4+0.7 = 2.2. Leg spines: I—0-0-1p, 1v- 1v-1v, 1v- 3v-1v; II—0-0-1p, 0-0-1p, 2v- 0- 1 v; III—0-0-1p1r, 0-0-1p1r, 2v- 1 v1 p1r-3 v1 p1r; IV—0-0-1p, 0-0-1r, 2v-2 v1 p1r-3 v1 p1r. Abdomen: creamy-yellow with a dark heart mark and two dark longitudinal rows of spots posterior to heart mark. Palp (Figs 11–12): cymbium elongate, as long as patella plus tibia length; tibia with curved, broad RTA; TA slightly sclerotized, curved towards EM; EM short, thick, with two points at apex, prolateral point sharp and curved; CON not sclerotized but distinct, situated next to retrolateral point of embolus. Female: unknown.
Distribution. Only known from the type locality (Fig. 97).
Habitat. Collected by beating short shrubs.
