DISTRIBUTION: NE Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland; S New Guinea; Kiriwina Isis and other islands off the SE coast of New Guinea.

STATUS: Common.

SYNONYMS: aurantiacus, aurescens, binoe, crassipes, jardinii, nigrescens, papuanus, siva.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Notamacropus .
