DISTRIBUTION: SW New South Wales, NW Victoria, South Australia, SW Western Australia, Tasmania, King Isl, and Kangaroo Isl (Australia).
STATUS: Abundant, yet U.S. ESA - Threatened.
SYNONYMS: melanops, ocydromus.
