Figs. 5h, 6d, 8c

Studied material. 1 female: “Khami, S. Rhodesia ” (without date) (MRAC); 1 female: “ Zimbabwe W\ Bulawayo, Shangani \ Naletale ruins env.\ 20.12.2011, Snižek” \\ “Coll Wrase\ Berlin” (green label)\\ “ Macrocheilus \ hybridus \ Péringuey, 1896 ” [h]\ “ A.Serrano det. 2021” [t] [h] .

Remarks. The species was originally described from Natal (Escourt) in Republic of South Africa (Péringuey 1896) and later recorded for S. Rhodesia (= Zimbabwe) (Basilewsky 1960), on the basis of a female adult specimen of the MRAC collection (see studied material) that we analysed also in 1992. The adult female specimen of Zimbabwe (Fig. 5h) fits the original description of this species. The study of this specimen allowed to describe the female genital armature of this species.

Female genitalia (Fig. 8c). Gonocoxite 1 subtriangular; gonocoxite 2 sickle shaped, short, apex pointed and turned out; dorsal surface concave, almost all covered with numerous setae, several setae inserted on an outer sub marginal longitudinal rib; ventral surface slightly convex, smooth.

Distribution. Republic of South Africa, Zimbabwe.
