Diagnosis. Size of adult specimens about 4 mm, dorsally with several dark spots and bands, Abd. III–IV more intensely pigmented; or specimens light with three broad dark longitudinal stripes; or even specimens almost entirely black. Ant. II undivided (antennae with five segments). Males’ Ant. Ib internally with about 45–60 modified short densely ciliate chaetae plus 12–13 minute smooth chaetae, Ant. II internally with 16–36 modified chaetae of different shapes, 1–2 of them very large. Males’ Ant. II internally angled. Antero-lateral head without clusters of differentiate chaetae. Labial basomedian field posteriorly with 5–8 ciliate chaetae internal to E. Dorsal head with A6p, A7i, M1, M2, M3i, S0’, S2, S4i, S5a, S5e, and Ps 2 mac, M0, A3, A4, Ps 3, and Ps 5 mac absent (Fig. 12A). Abd. II with a3a and p4 mac, plus 4–6 mac on the m3ea complex, a1a, a2a2, m 3ei, and m3ep present or absent, m4 mac absent (Fig. 12B); Abd. III with a2, a3–3a, m3ea–3eai, and m 3ei mac, a3 present or absent, p3 mac absent (Fig. 12C); Abd. IV with A1–3, Ae 1–2, B3, B5, Be 2, xa, xp, C4, and T1 mac, A2, B3, B5, and C4 present or absent, A5 and T6 mac absent (Fig. 12D). Trochanteral organ with about 29 spine-like chaetae.
