Type locality. England (Kew Garden, soil from Lagos, Nigeria).

Records from Vietnam. Widely known from various parts of Vietnam (Thai 2000b).
Distribution. A cosmopolitan species; reported from England (Kew Gardens), Myanmar, India, East and West Africa, Egypt, Sudan, Abyssinia, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Puerto Rico, Bonaco Isl. (Blakemore 2002)
Vietnamese name. Giun gordio tinh tế.
Remark. It is an introduced species, and probably originates from tropical regions of Africa (Gates 1972). In Vietnam, it is usually found in wet soils of disturbed habitats (Thai 2000b).
