Type locality. Vietnam (Thua Thien Hue).

Type material. SORC (HV.225), Vietnam

Examined material. 1 C (SORC-HV.225) Thua Thien Hue Prov., Hue city, Nguyet Bieu, sandy garden, 13/ 01/1985, coll. Nguyen Van Thuan.

Records from Vietnam. Thua Thien Hue (Hue city, Bach Ma NP); Da Nang (Hoa Vang); Binh Dinh; (Nguyen 1993; Pham 1995c; Nguyen V. T. & Tran 2008; Pham 2010).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Trùn cận taprobanae .

Remarks. The species is fairly similar to Polypheretima taprobanae (Beddard, 1892), but differs in absence of genital markings in the male region, and having a pair of genital markings near the spermathecal pores.
