Type species. Octochaetus bishambari Stephenson, 1914, by original designation. Distribution. India with the range of the type species extended by transportation. Remarks. Only one species has been reported from Vietnam.

Distribution. A cosmopolitan species, reported from India, Myanmar, Philippines, Andaman, Christmas Isl. (Australian territory) (Blakemore 2002).

Vietnamese name. Giun ramiella bishambar.
