Type species. Dichogaster damonis Beddard, 1888 .

Distribution. Widely distributed in various parts of the world.

Remarks. More than 200 species have been described, several with circumtropical distributions (Blakemore 2002). Only four species have been recorded in Vietnam, and all are cosmopolitan species.
