Remarks. The subspecies, originally named Pheretima andersoni minima Do & Tran, 1995, differs from Pheretima andersoni andersoni (Michaelsen, 1907) in fewer setae, much smaller body size and genital markings presenting till 20/21 (Do et al. 1995). Blakemore (2006) proposed a new name, Amynthas andersoni doettrani to replace Pheretima andersoni minima, which was considered as a junior homonym of Amynthas minimus (Horst, 1893) . Under ICZN (1999, Arts. 16; 53.3; 57.2), the name Pheretima andersoni minima is permanently invalid. Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
