Type material. MNHN, France (AE 689-692) inspected by Michaelsen (1910: 84).

Records from Vietnam. Quang Binh (Quang Trach) (Nguyen 1994).

Distribution. A cosmopolitan species, frequently reported from Philippines, Myanmar, Taiwan, Java, Hawaii, Mexico, USA, Malaysia, India, West Indies, Japan, Samoa, Fiji, Penang west of Malacca, and Grenada in the Antilles, Australia (Blakemore 2002, 2007a).

Remarks. Further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.
