Distribution. North America and the Adriatic/Mediterranean; southeast USA east of the Allegheny Range; Albania, Greece, Italy and the Middle East, Asia (Blakemore 2002)

Remarks. About 18 species are known (Blakemore 2002), but only one has been recorded in Vietnam.
