Examined material. 5 A (SORC-V.143.01) and 3 C (CTU-EW.062.01), Binh Gia, Lang Son, 26/03/1992 .

Records from Vietnam. Lang Son (Binh Gia) (Le 1995a).

Distribution. A cosmopolitan species; widely reported from China, Korea, Japan, North America, and New Zealand (Easton 1981; Blakemore 2002).

Remark. The species is distinguished from Metaphire bahli and Metaphire peguana by the absence of copulatory pouches (Le 1995a).
