Records from Vietnam. Son La (Moc Chau); Nghe An (Quy Chau); Quang Binh (Tuyen Hoa; Minh Hoa; Bo Trach; Quang Ninh, Dong Hoi); Thua Thien Hue (Phu Loc); Gia Lai (Buon Luoi; Kon Ha Nung); Binh Dinh (Do 1994; Nguyen 1994; Huynh 2005a; Nguyen & Tran 2008).

Distribution. China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan (Chen 1933; Blakemore 2002, 2007a, 2013).

Remarks. The records of this species from Vietnam (as Pheretima pingi) are outside its known area, temperate regions in northern China, Korea and Japan, and require confirmation with fresh reference material.
