Distribution. China (Zhong & Qiu 1987; Zhong & Qiu 1992).

Vietnamese name. Giun nhú đực hình bàn chân.

Remarks. Thai (1983) proposed a new subgenus Terrata of the genus Pheretima, and placed the species under the new subgenus. Blakemore (2007a) considered the species as " species inquirenda ", but further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.
