Type locality. Vietnam (Son La: Moc Chau).

Type material. SORC, Vietnam.

Examined material. 2 C (SORC-HPV.076) forest, Moc Chau, Son La, 10/1990, coll. Huynh Thi Kim Hoi.

Records from Vietnam. Son La (Moc Chau) (Do et al. 1991; Do 1994).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun cận duplicoecus .

Remarks. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
