Type locality. Vietnam (Nghe An: Ky Son).
Type material. SORC, Vietnam.
Examined material. 1 C (SORC-HV.067) and 3 C (SORC-PV.067) Muong Long, Ky Son, Nghe An, 1/1/ 1986, coll. Tran Ba Cu.
Records from Vietnam. Hanoi (Ba Vi NP); Nghe An (Ky Son); Quang Binh (Minh Hoa) (Thai & Tran 1986; Nguyen 1994; Huynh & Nguyen 2004a).
Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.
Vietnamese name. Giun manh tràng bàn tay kỳ sƠn.
Remarks. The subspecies is characteristically different from other subspecies in having three pairs of spermathecal pores in 5/6/7/8, first dorsal pore in 5/6 and the presence of genital markings in spermathecal and male regions (Thai & Tran 1986). Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
