Type locality. Vietnam (Gia Lai: An Khe).

Type material. ZMUM (W.229), Russia.

Distribution. Vietnam, Laos (Samphon 1990).

Vietnamese name. Giun diverticulum lớn.

Remarks. Thai (1983) proposed a new subgenus Terrata of the genus Pheretima, and placed the species under the new subgenus. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ", but further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.
