Material examined. 1♂, 1♀, CHINA, Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, Jinghong, 22°36’N, 101°25’E, 3.xi.2017, leg. Zhaotai Wei. 1♂, 1♀, CHINA, Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, Menglun, 21°56’N, 101°14’E, alt. 500m, 4.ix.2019, leg. Guozhong Yang.

Measurements [in mm, ♂ (n = 2), ♀ (n = 2)]. Body length, ♂ 60.7–73.4, ♀ 62.1–77.0. Pronotum length, ♂ 21.3– 26.1, ♀ 24.4–32.6. Forewing length, ♂ 38.6–52. 0, ♀ 39.5–49.1.

Distribution. China (Yunnan); Thailand; Vietnam.

Remarks. Current records in Yunnan, China represents the northernmost distribution record of M. quinquespinosa as well as the genus. Male genitalia (Fig. 13L–M) and ootheca (Fig. 15Q) of specimens studied herein do not differ from those present in Schwarz et al. (2018c) and Liu et al. (2020).
