Hierodula jianfenglingensis Liu et al, 2020: 4 . Holotype (♂): China, Hainan, QAU.

Type material was examined. Holotype and 2 paratypes of H. jianfenglingensis: 2♂, 1♀, CHINA, Hainan, Le- dong, Mt. Jianfengling, 18°45’N, 109°10’’E, 1.ix.2018, leg. Shiliang Mo.

Measurements [in mm, ♂ (n = 2), ♀ (n = 1)]. Body length, ♂ 64.2, ♀ 67.0. Pronotum length, ♂ 21.5, ♀ 23.6. Forewing length, ♂ 46.7, ♀ 42.3.

Distribution. China (Hainan).

Remarks. Very similar to H. chinensis but can be distinguished by the proportion and shape of pronotum, colouration of pterostigma, and male genitalia (Liu et al, 2020). Male genitalia (Fig. 12C–D) and ootheca (Fig. 14G–H) are photographed herein.
