Rhombodera valida Burmeister, 1838: 536 . Syntype (s): Indonesia, Java, ZMHB.

Material examined. 2♂, 2♀, CHINA, Guangxi, Fangchenggang, Fangcheng, Naliang, 21°40’45’’N, 107°50’3’’E, 1.xi.2020, leg. Mr. Shui.

Measurements [in mm, ♂ (n = 2), ♀ (n = 2)]. Body length, ♂, ♀. Pronotum length, ♂ 18.4–18.6, ♀ 22.0. Pro- notum width, ♂ 12.7–13.5, ♀ 15.5. Forewing length, ♂ 48.7, ♀ 41.1.

Distribution. China (Guangxi); India; Japan (?); Myanmar; Malay Peninsula; Java; Borneo; Ambon; Timor; Maluku Islands.

Remarks. This is a widely distributed species. Sdpl on ventral phallomere of Chinese specimens slightly short- er than that of specimens from Malay Peninsula (Schwarz & Roy, 2019).

Male genitalia (Fig. 12K–L). Left phallomere: sclerotized weakly. Sclerite L4B spoon-shaped. Sclerite L2 long fusiform in shape, gradually narrowing towards distal. Apical process paa long, with hook-like apex. Aafa strongly bends to the left, with its apex pigmented, while pafa slender, slightly curved, and beyond loa. Both aafa and pafa are quite sharp apically. Ventral phallomere: Sclerite L4A nearly right trapezoid in shape, with left edge sclerotized. Sdpl of ventral phallomere rod-like, uniform bending, with its apex pencil-tip shaped. Right phallomere: lobe fda nearly triangular, pva and pia claw-like.

Ootheca (Fig. 14Q) guttiform. The proximal end of ootheca fully encircling the substrate, ventral surface exposed. External wall russet brown, thick and rigid. External coating present and persistent, beige coloured, mainly covering the emergence area and ventral surface. The distal end of the ootheca exhibits a long, filiform residual process.
