Rhombodera latipronotum Zhang, 1990: 113 . Holotype (♂): China, Yunnan, NJFU.

Material examined. 2♂, 2♀, CHINA, Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, Mengla, Menglun, 21°56’7’’N, 101°14’55’’E, 1.x.2019, leg. Ping Yang.

Measurements [in mm, ♂ (n = 2), ♀ (n = 2)]. Body length, ♂ 82.2–85.4, ♀ 78.4. Pronotum length, ♂ 20.5–22.3, ♀ 23.7. Pronotum width, ♂ 16.0–18.7, ♀ 20.9. Forewing length, ♂ 57.8–60.6, ♀ 53.4.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Remarks. Male genitalia (Fig. 12M–N). Left phallomere: sclerotized weakly. Sclerite L4B spoon-shaped. Sclerite L2 long fusiform in shape, gradually narrowing towards the apex. Apical process paa long, with hook-like apex. Aafa contorted, while pafa short, not beyond loa. Both aafa and pafa are quite sharp apically. Ventral phallomere: Sclerite L4A nearly right trapezoid in shape, weakly sclerotized. Sdpl of ventral phallomere rod-like, uniform bending and gradually narrowing, with its apex sharp. Right phallomere: lobe fda nearly triangular, pva and pia claw-like.

Ootheca (Fig. 14R) very similar to that of R. valida but with more egg chambers and a softer external wall.
