Spheroma spinosa Risso, 1816 and Sphaeroma spinosa Philippi, 1850 [ Sphaeromatidae]

Remarks: Spheroma spinosa Risso, 1816 ( Spheroma being an incorrect subsequent spelling of Sphaeroma) and Sphaeroma spinosa Philippi, 1850 are homonyms. The latter name, if at a later date determined to represent a valid species but which is currently considered a taxon inquirendum within Sphaeroma, cannot be replaced without an application to the ICZN, as the current name for Spheroma spinosa is in a different genus, as Cymodoce spinosa (Risso, 1816) (IZCN Article 23.9.5).
