The first specimens of Dichopygina ramosa mentioned in Leng et al. (2018: 19) were identified in our NTI project 2014-2016, based on the following sciarid material: Norway • 1 ♂; 'Akershus; Nesodden, Blåbærstien’; 59.8523N, 10.6698E; 25 March-7 Jun. 2012; O.J. Olberg and A.E. Laugsand leg.; Malaise trap; pond with enhanced growth of aquatic vegetation (probably eutrophic); BFCO; BOLD ID SCINO497-15 (bf-sci-00500, BAB 393143).

At ponds with rich aquatic vegetation; in settled areas. Phenology: Mar.-Jun., Aug.-Sep.
