Distribution and habitat.

Tonle Sap River and Lake, paddy fields and irrigation ponds in Kampong Chhnang, Banteay Meanchey and Siem Reap Provinces (locality no. 3, 13, 14, 18, 35, 38 and 42).

Remarks.

Pila virescens is the largest among the native ampullariids, and commonly harvested for food (Fig. 4D), and is often sold in markets and roadside stalls. An annual harvest of more than 1500 tonnes of the species was recorded from five commercial landing points in Kampong Chhnang Province (Ngor et al. 2018d).
