Host associations in Iran. Exochomus nigromaculatus and E. quadripustulatus on cypress tree associated with Planococcus vovae (Ameri et al. 2007; Talebi et al. 2008), E. quadripustulatus on Vitis vinifera (Fallahzadeh & Japoshvili 2010), Hyperaspis polita and Nephus bipunctatus on Vitis vinifera (Fallahzadeh et al. 2011), Nephus (Sidis) hiekei on Sesamum indicum, Menochilus sexmaculatus on Hibiscus rosa-sinensis and H. polita on Solamum nigrum (Fallahzadeh et al. 2016) .
Distribution in Iran. Iran (Trjapitzin, 1989), Fars (Fallahzadeh et al. 2006a; Fallahzadeh & Japoshvili 2010; Fallahzadeh et al. 2011), Tehran (Ameri et al. 2007; Talebi et al. 2008); Kermanshsh (Jalilvand et al. 2014), Hormozgan (Fallahzadeh et al. 2016).
Remarks. The report of Homalotylus sinensis Xu & He from southern Iran (Fallahzadeh et al. 2006a) is a misidentification of H. turkmenicus (see Fallahzadeh et al. 2016).
General distribution. Palaearctic (Irano-Turanian) and Oriental regions (India).
