26. Blastothrix sericea (Dalman, 1820)

Host associations in Iran. Sphaerolecanium prunastri, Eulecanium cryli [ E. tiliae], E. tiliae on rosaceous fruit trees (Behdad & Barouti 1978; Farahbakhsh 1961; Radjabi 1989; Modarres Awal 1997); Anapulvinaria pistaciae on Pistacia vera (Yazdani & Rajabi 1993), Sphaerolecanium sp. (Ghahari et al. 2010).

Distribution in Iran. Isfahan, Tehran and Markazi (Behdad & Barouti 1978; Farahbakhsh 1961; Radjabi 1989; Modarres Awal 1997) Kerman provine (Yazdani & Rajabi 1993), West Azarbaijan (Ghahari et al. 2010). General distribution. Holarctic and Oriental regions.

Remarks. According to Lotfalizadeh (2010b) the report of Blastothrix sericea from Iran (Davoodi et al. 2004d) is a misidentification of B. brittanica .
