Plecocheilus (Eurytus) juliani Haas, 1955: 375, fig. 78. Type locality: Venezuela, State of Bolívar, northwest part of Chimantá massif, summit of Apacará-tepui, ca. 2100 m; holotype FMNH 49737.
Material. Venezuela, Estado Bolívar, Chimantá massif, summit of Apacará-tepui, 2100 m, 20─ 22.vi.1953, J.A. Steyermark leg. (FMNH 49737/ holotype, 49738/2 paratypes); Ibidem, northwest part of summit of Abácapa-tepui, J.A. Steyermark leg., 13.iv.1953, in Bonnetia forest (FMNH 49739/1 paratype); Ibidem, Auyán-tepui, 1970 m, R.W. McDiarmid leg., 26.ii.1978 (FMNH 22949/ 1 juv.).
Remarks. The intraspecific variation within the type material has been adequately described by Haas. The species is characterized by the oblique streaks and the sculpture of the shell (Haas 1955: fig. 78; Fig. 9F. A juvenile and broken specimen preserved in ethanol 70% was collected on Auyán-tepui, on the same massif as the type locality.
