Plekocheilus (Eudolichotis) sinuatus (Albers, 1854)
(Fig. 6 K)
Bulimus sinuatus Albers, 1854: 32 . Type locality: Venezuela; lectotype ZMB 101794 (Köhler 2007).
Material. Venezuela, Estado Amazonas, 10 km S Río Autana, 4° 44’ N 67° 33’ W, 100 m, O. Huber leg., 2.vii.1979 (RMNH 112032 /2).
Shell dimensions are given Table 1.
Remarks. This species is reported here for the first time from the Venezuelan Guayana area. Hitherto it was only known from the Cordillera de la Costa in northern Venezuela (Baker 1926, Thompson 1957, Breure 1976). There it was found in cloud forest at 1000 m elevation and the current finding in the lowland was unexpected. It is closely allied to the somewhat smaller P. (E.) euryomphalus (Jonas, 1844), which has been reported from the Roraima savannah in Guyana (Solem 1964).
