Generitype of Juniperus Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 192. 1929).

Current name: Juniperus communis L. subsp. communis ( Cupressaceae).

Note: Although Imkhanitskaya (in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 27: 7. 1990) indicated 1198.8 (LINN) as type, this is a post-1753 addition to the collection and not original material for the name.
