Discussion: McKenna and Bell (1997) divided this subfamily into two tribes, Emballonurini Gervais, 1855 ( Mosia, Emballonura, Coleura) and Diclidurini Gray, 1866 (Neotropical emballonurids). However, both of these groups may be paraphyletic as so defined (Dunlop, 1998). Accordingly, I do not recognize tribes within Emballonurinae at this time.
